Dr. Shivadas Sivasubramaniam, Head of Biomedical and Forensic Science from the University of Derby visited UK student information centre, located in Kohuwala to speak about for MSc in Biomedical & Forensic Science streams. Students who missed the live can follow it on the link here.

Dr. Shivdas Sivasubramaniam is from the northern part of Sri Lanka, he speaks about University of Derby about the various courses. He speaks about the difference between MSc and Mres courses. Mres courses are different from the MSc courses.

The Mres has only 4 to 5 modules and the rest the student needs to do the independent research right from the start. The MSc courses the modules are taught and then the student will have 3-6 months of independent research. If students are interested in pursuing PhD after finishing Msc then the Mres course in molecular medicine is the best choice.
